Using the Bedlam Hall setting with different rules.
From the discussions online about Monkey Fun Bedlam Hall I found that people love the setting and premise but dislike the rules.
-Are the rules actually okay (a case of internet exaggeration?)
-Is there a PbtA ruleset that can drop in easily to take over?
-Or, can the rules be fixed with some easy changes?
-Or, should the premise be moved to something like Fate, Risus, Freeform Universal?

( I would suggest looking at the One Ring is good because it shows a way to reward working as a team; it incentivizes positive party dynamics not through tactical synergy, but through having specific effects that key off of other PCs (and does so better than any game I have read).)
It also is a great example of providing mechanics for long journeys.

Not a paradox. Just because a thing has been done doesn't mean that it has been done well. "I can do better than that" may often be false, but it's sometimes true, you can't tell until you try, and trying is not a paradox.

Though the more times its been tried, especially in recent history, the more you have to have a lot of self-confidence and make sure you really aren't just doing what other people did over again.

I say just do it, write and publish it, you might catch lightning in a bottle. I mean, most likely not, games succeed by having good business strategies behind them more than anything else. Creative suggestions are cool, though they aren't going to be as important.
