Draconic Prestige Class for Wizards?

First Post
Just wondering if anyone out there knows of a Dragon related PrC for Arcane casters? Similar to the ones in Draconomicon. If there are could you name them and reference the book they are in?

I have a caster that might have an opportunity to take Improved Familair and get a "psuedo-dragon" as a familiar. I want to know if there is a PrC that would help me in any way with this information in mind.

Thanks in advance,
Shay

Off the top of my head:

Dragon Disciple in the Dungeon Master's Guide.

It is important to note that Dragon Disciple only works if you have levels in Bard or Sorcerer (or other spontaneous arcane caster), not Wizard. Also, it is mostly a non-caster prestige class (it doesn't grant caster level increases).

Other than that, the Draconomicon is probably your best bet. Although, you might want to check out Master Transmogrifist in Complete Arcane, with one of his favored shapes being a dragon of some type.

Theres always 'wearer of purple' from Faiths and Pantheons, as long as you don't mind the dragons being Dracoliches

Dragon #296 has the dragonscribe. A five-level PrC that can't be entered until 11th character level (highest requirement is Know (arc) 13 ranks).

Benefits include:
  • +1 level of arcane spellcasting for every level, Dragonlore (similar to Bardic Knowledge, but only pertains to dragons),
  • Overcome Resistance (adds a bonus to caster level checks to defeat SR, but only for creatures of the dragon type),
  • Dragon Tongue (bonus to Diplomacy checks when dealing with creatures of the dragon type),
  • Summon Dragon (can use summon monster spells, III - IX, to summon celestial or fiendish variants of appropriate-CR dragons), &
  • Draconic Binding (a dominate monster -type ability, only useable on creatures of the dragon type).
