Draconomicon - Metabreath feats

Now that we have a base class with a breath weapon I was taking a look at the metabreath feats from the draconomicon and I noticed that some of them can self-stack. Clinging breath and Lingering breath in particular. It's not quite clear from the feat descriptions however what happens if the effects of these feats are extended. Does the damage remain at 1/2 the initial damage of the breath weapon, or does it continue to decay by 1/2 each round? If the former then Dragon Shamans will be quite good at battlefield shaping with Lingering breath. Opinions?

It continues to deal half the breath weapon's damage each round. If a breath weapon dealt 100 pts of damage, it will deal 50 pts of damage every subsequent rounds without decreasing.
