Me too! That looks great, and I usually don't have much good to say about 3E art. I prefer paintings like this to the obvious-computer-generated-graphic approach.
But you know, since it's probably Andrew Hou, who has painted it, it's probably a computer-generated painting as well? ;)

One thing that slightly marred an otherwise great issue for me was how the Ecology of the Titan didn't reference the Elder Titan at all from the ELH. I had figured that'd be worth at least a notation.

That seems to be thrown into sharp relief when the stats for Cronus, the biggest baddest titan of them all, are given. As he's a CR 53, it doesn't seem inappropriate to have made him an elder titan, instead of the "garden variety," since his CR is already incredibly high.

*nodding* There were a number of things that weren't mentioned, which is unfortunate because there's a lot of the titans' history within D&D that could have been expanded upon and explored.

Hey Alzrius!

Yeah, I toyed heavily with the idea of making Cronus an elder titan instead of a titan, and I can't remember why exactly I didn't, except that I vaguely recall reading the Elder Titan in the ELH and thinking...panzy (at least for his CR). I can't double check why I thought this (I'm moving this week and my ELH is packed away), but I also remember not digging the general flavor of the Elder Titan too, at least not for the way I wanted to slice the article...the whole sit back, lethargic, have no interest in anything take on the Elder Titan, while cool, just wasn't the way I wanted to go (emphasis on their connection to the primoridal well-spring of life and chaos). I probably should have given them a shout out though in a sidebar, just didn't think of it and word count limits were crushing in.

Yeah, I also wanted to include more history on Hyperion, Cronus and other titans mentioned in Planescape as well, but didn't want the whole Ecology to turn into a Historiography instead. I ended up cutting most of the history fleshing out secitons. I may have went too far the this direction, but I wanted to give them some fresh stuff too, and not mire the whole article down in too much history.

Would someone be so kind as to pony up some info on the new obyrith demon in the Demonomicon this month? What it looks like, and a few of its abilities maybe?

Al,

PM/email me. I got a few questions I'd like to ask.

Nick, thanks for the article! Guess I'll pick this up day after tomorrow.

*agrees with MH that this is a nice cover* Though the cover to Dungeon 120 is a tad better in my book.

So what is covered in the Titan article? Is there an advanced Titan statblock given?

Is there ever!

The article has a statblock for Cronus who, at CR 56, is an advanced Titan, Barbarian 20/Legendary Dreadnaught 10. His melee attack is pretty sick, as you can imagine.
