Dragonlance Questions. Please help.

Dragonhelm,

Thanks. I was curious about when we'd see the Towers book. And yes I forgot it was War of Lance, not 3rd Age book. :p But in any case that's cool.

To my knowledge, there isn't a 3rd age (Age of Might) book in the works yet. However, there is a sourcebook called War of the Lance, slated for GenCon this year.
And looking ahead to 2005, Jamie let slip on the Wizards DL forum that Legends of the Twins is the major sourcebook planned for next year. I expect that to feature rules for playing just before and after (and during!) the Cataclysm.

That and the Taladas(!) sourcebook, plus the finale of the mega-adventure trilogy (Price of Courage), Races of Krynn, and Holy Orders of the Stars should make next year just as amazing for DL gaming as this one.

as confirmed as we have, thus far.

and for what its worth, the Age of Mortals setting book is an incredible resource for Krynn in general, with a giant geography/cultural/flavor text bent to it. Much more useful to a DM than the DLCS, imo.

A Taladas sourcebook would be awesome!

I wanna see an ENTIRE map of Krynn released, too -- I wanna see the shape and location of the other continents on Krynn!

Taladas was officially announced at http://www.dragonlance.com/news/archive.asp on 5/4/04.

Legends of the Twins was announced by Jamie Chambers at http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=228919&highlight=jamie+chambers+twins on 5/8/04.

Races of Ansalon was announced by Jamie Chambers at http://boards1.wizards.com/showthre...47&highlight=jamie+chambers+races#post3255247 on 4/26/04.

Jamie announces a tentative early 2005 release date for Holy Orders of the Stars at http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=230467&highlight=jamie+chambers+holy+orders on 4/30/04.

Phew! That's about as official as they get! ;)

Kai,

Hmm I must have missed that. Thanks.

Tal,

Actually I thought DLCS was very decent. Age of Mortals was alright but not something I'd write home about.

hehe. in the great spectrum of gaming, i'm almost 100% on the side of fluff, so the AoM is the book i wanted to see for a dragonlance sourcebook. If anything, i want even more depth and flavor and detail.

Is the deity Reorx a dwarf or a gnome in the newest incarnation of DL? Has he changed over editions? I've tried to read up on DL a bit online, and this deity just has me confused.

He's whatever he wants to be. :) Reorx has often chosen a dwarf as his avatar when he makes an appearance on Krynn (Dougan Redhammer, for example... and another dwarf in Dark Thane) but like all of the gods, he isn't fixed into one appearance. He's not just a dwarf and gnome god - he's the god of craft, the forge, gambling, engineering, and so forth, and there are plenty of craftsmen, blacksmiths, gamblers, engineers etc in the other races.

Cheers,
Cam
