Drakensang [PC RPG]

Megaton

First Post
I didn't see this mentioned anywhere and I was pretty surprised. Drakensang is coming out February 24th in the US although it's already been out in German and did quite well.

It's based on The Dark Eye rules which is pretty cool and the universe looks really deep from what I've seen and the game looks awesome. There's been some great praise for it, both in the English adaptation and the previous German release and the developers definitely know their stuff:

Heh, it is a very good game. Very traditional, really old-school. While they did not get every small detail right, they really caught the mood with most of the quests, NPCs and the gorgeous surroundings.
There are repetetive (and sometimes unfair) combats and the game flow can be slow sometimes. And they changed a couple of rules quite significantly - especially the magic system. But if you want some entertaining hours and learn quite a bit about the Dark Eye, this is the game to get.

I played it through a couple of weeks ago.
Now I'm playing NWN2-SOZ and I have to say Drakensang is way better in every perspective. It even comes with the TDE Corebook pdf.

Oh was that the German version you played through?
I'm waiting until the English version comes out next week to pick it up and play through but it's a definite purchase for me after playing the demo and hearing all the praise of that German version.

There's a great developer q and a that went up too:
