Dreams

PS: about the brain, is it only 10-12 percent or is that some kind of thing some scientist said?
That was just a guess someone made, like, 60 years ago, and for some reason people have been repeating it ever since. It's not true at all. People actually use their entire brains. Except for the dead parts.

Now, how did you friend get butchered? You don't have a serious sleep-walking problem or something, do you?

I will try. And thanks. I dont get too many of those as of the past year.

You're welcome. I know it's easy for me to say because I am not involved, but try to stay positive. I have seen depression lay waste to people's lives and also effect those close to them - be better than that. Never underestimate the power of a smile and of laughter.

Cheers

De (of) ja /J'ai/ (I have) Vu (past tense of see)

It's all french to me. Jeva Voir would be a good one for that. Or Ouija vu, :)
Deja = already
vu = seen :)

I wouldn't dismiss psychic phenoma just like Torm said, but I'd also wonder whether you really dreamt about it, or just thought you did.

I know I have dreamed some things which happened to me much later, but when I jumped out of my seat and exclaimed to my friend that I'd dreamed about this exact conversation, she wouldn't believe me. Now, I'm not sure whether it was actually a dream or not, since I didn't write the dream down.

This has happened to me a few times, but not with such an awful outcome. I once dreamt of the father of my oldest friend, of whom I hadn't seen for at least 6 or 7 years (he lived near Poughkeepskie, while I'm closer to Westchester). The next day, he walked into the store I worked in to buy a pack of smokes while he working (he woeked for the phone company). Another time, I dreamt about a friend of mine that I hadn't seen in 5 or 6 years and the next day she called me.
The same thing has happened to my mom. She once had a dream that my uncle, her brother that works for the phone co. fell off a telephone pole. A few days later, my uncle's wife was on the phone with my mom and told her that a phone poll had fallen and hit my uncle, but luckily it only broke his wrise t or arm.
The Weirdest thing that ever happened I was awake for. My mom and I were folding laundry, and I asked her if she'd ever had a crush on a famous person ( I was in HS at the time). She said no, but I mentioned a few names like The Beatles, Cary Grant, a couple others. She said not really, and it was the end of the conversation. The next morning, she asked me about what we were talking about and what names I had mentioned. I remembered wrong saying Clark Gable, which I kinda knew was wrong. Mom was like, "no, it was Cary Grant.... he died last night rehersing on stage about the same time were having our talk." To this day, I tell people I killed Cary Grant. :eek:

Well, I hope none of the dreams I've been having lately come true, because three dreams in a row, I've dreamt I had cancer. Not one kind of cancer, but my wholes body filled with it. The dreams have also included my ex-husband. :mad: Even though I'm so not fond of him, I can't help worry that the dreams might have something to do w/ him and not me... force of habit I guess after worrying about him for 10 years.

It's frustrating.. I usually go to sleep to escape what's going on in my life. Usually my dreams are better that real life, but not lately. :(

Every night I dream, vividly, and remember the dreams. Everyday what was in my dreams happens. It's usually only minor things though.

Edit: I forgot the weirdest thing dream-related that happened. I once shared a dream with my (now ex) girlfriend.

Like I said in my first post without going into further detail, and yes I sleep-walk. But walking 40 miles to one place and 40 miles back is a bit extreme. When I sleep-walk I usually wake up infront of a pool with one of my knives in my hand, and im standing there thinking that I have to jump in and swim farther than the bottom. One time I woke up on my complexe roof looking up, and I saw a comet crossing the sky, like an inch every three seconds with my arm extended. I dont do it as much asnymore, but I still do it once in a while.
