I did another picture of this character a few days ago. This time, I decided to do a portrait...

wow, very good man, do you do artwork for games?
What programs r you using?
Id love to have artwork like that for my homebrew, if I ever get it all edited for publishing.
Keep up the good work

Thanks for the compliment.

I do these pictures for my own entertainment. I've only been playing with 3D artwork for about six months. I started out doing portraits of PCs and NPCs from the various roleplaying campaigns that I participate in. Before that time, most of the images that I created were done by hand.

Most of the images posted here were created using Poser 4.03 from Curious Labs, with a fair bit of postwork in Photoshop. I also use Bryce and 3D Studio Max on occasion. I'm currently learning how to use Lightwave and Maya.

In the area of 3D artwork, I still consider myself to be a bit of novice. Compared to the stuff that the real experts are putting out, my own work pales into insignificance. ..

Nonetheless, this whole thing has been an interesting learning curve for me. One of the first things that I learned is that it is *VERY* easy to make bad 3D artwork. It takes a lot of time and patience to make an image that looks 'kewl'. :D

I hope to set up a website for my own homebrew campaign world fairly soon and intend to upload some of pictures that I have generated of various characters and places from this setting. To give you a bit of a foretaste, I have attached a mountain landscape that I created using Terragen and Photoshop...
