Dual wielding pistols.

First Post
For my homebrew campaign I am starting(I'm the dm as well as playing some of the party characters), one of the characters I am making is a level 2 warforged gunslinger.

My main question is what is the penalty for attacking with dual pistols, as in if I fired both in the same standard action at the same target?

My second question is what would be a good rule for firing both shots in a double barrel pistol or all 6 shots in pepperbox pistols and revolvers in the same round, I'm guessing that would take a full round action, and for every shot after the first one a penalty to hit would stack up?

Thanks in advance, also a speedy reply is needed as the first session is the middle of this week, most likely wednesday.

hello, im nto an expert but to your first question i would think it would be the same penalty as firing two hand crossbows? thats how i would rule it anyway.

and for the second in my opinion i think your on the money, maybe a -2 penalty for every shot after the first that stack, like fanning a revolver.

as i said im no expert but thats how i would rule, best of luck!

I'm pretty sure that for weapons like revolvers and pepperboxes, you would simply fire them at your regular BAB with any associated additional attacks until you ran out. I think Rapid Shot would be treated the same way.

I also agree Vinja that using a pistol in each hand would be like using two hand crossbows, or two light crossbows. So, attacking with both is a full round action, and would normally carry a -4 penalty (assuming that the pistols, like light or hand crossbows are treated as light weapons). The two-weapon fighting feat would reduce this to -2 with both weapons, and it could presumably be modified by other feats in that tree.

I`m pretty sure that this was all included in the Firearms rules for the second Gunslinger Beta round, but I did not reference it when writing this.

As for firing both guns at once as a standard action, since this is a Gunslinger character, perhaps should be a custom Grit Feat. Perhaps allow the guns to be fired at the same time with no penalty at the same target, but precision damage only applies once. If you want to make it cinematic, maybe require that they move at least a certain distance in the same round (possibly while diving sideways over a table ;) ).
