[Dungeon #97] The new adventure line?

Atk +10 melee (1d8+9/x3; masterwork dwarven urgrosh axe), or +6 melee (1d8+7/x3, masterwork dwarven urgrosh axe) and +2 melee (1d6+4/x3, masterwork dwarven urgrosh spear),

Question:

Attack: +4 BAB +5 Str +1 Weapon Focus and +1 Masterwork
Damage: +7 2-hand Str +2 Specialization

shouldn't the attack be +11 melee (1d8+9/x3; mw dwarven urgrosh axe)?

Shouldn't the full attack be +7 melee (1d8+7/x3; mw dw urg axe) and +3 melee (1d6+4/x3; mw dw urg spear)?

EarthShadow — it will take a party of four first level characters to level 3 by the end of the adventure. :)

After looking through the Web Enhancement for Life's Bazaar, I noticed something about the stats of the half-elf wizard - at 12th level, he has an Int score of 20. Assuming that the standard array of 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8 was used - and the rest of the stats seem to indicate that - he could only have an Int of 18. Maybe in 3.5, half-elves get a +2 Int bonus?

If you look at other modules in DUNGEON, you'll notice that sometimes authors use the standard array, and sometimes they don't. I let my authors decide how to generate their NPC stats. But Meerthan is right for the standard array. If he started with a 15 Int and raised it three times (at 4th, 8th, and 12th level) then added his headband of intellect +2, he'd have a 20 Int (15+3+2=20).

I also want t pipe up and comment on the maps. I loved having them posted on the old Dungeon site. With the mind-blowing work done by Chris West on this map - it would be a crime not to host it somewhere. I was disappointed when I saw how small the map of Caldron was - then I saw the pull out. Thank you. Thank you.

PS - Thank you.

Echo a comment by Mr Bayle - why no humans? It seems to be a trend. I can live with it - I just convert them back into plain ol homo sapiens. Maybe it is my imagination?

PS - Thank you. Did I mention that I liked the map?

Life's Bazaar Web Enhansement

I noticed this in the web enhansement:

The Striders of Fharlanghn have sent one of their own, a neutral good half-elf named Meerthan Eliothlorn (Wiz12), to undercover the Cagewrights’ machinations in Cauldron. Meerthan, posing as a dwarven merchant named Tyro Amberhelm, has a room at The Drowning Morkoth Inn.

Is a half-elf really trying to pass himself off as a dwaven merchant? Is he setting himself up for failure or what? Also, the "undercover" I assume should say "uncover".

I just wish I had a regular weekly group, so I could run this module. The groups I run now are way too hit-and-miss, we'll probably never get throught the adventures that they are running through now :(

Yes, online MAPs PLEASE

I'm not sure if I'll ever use the Shackled City adventure path modules, but I think it is a great idea.

I'll for SURE be using the City anyway, and hopefully poach details from the upcoming path adventures.

Neat Idea ( city in the volcano) & great insert Map.

Chris: Let's get the MAP's online eh? I have gotten used to using them that way.

Thanks,

BFG

PS: Hooray Monthly & Hooray support for some of the mini games from Poly. Spelljammer first!
