Dungeon Majesty: D&D on cable?

Y'know, for a cable public access channel show the production isn't all that bad. These people probably have a budget of about $50 (figuring the "players" are actors working to pad the resume [it isn't all that hard to find wanna be actors in Southern Cal, so I am told]). It beats a lot of CPAC shows I've (breifly) seen. I wonder if it's a class project? :)

But even given that, the DM really needs to work on his delivery. He's clearly reading the whole CCrawler description, and doing a really dry job of it. I am curious about these orcs falling from the sky though!

And I wouldn't be embarrassed by this, it's one more way to introduce the game. "We play that game featured on Dungeon Majesty, but good."

Obviously this has been broadcast by anti-roleplayers. For a fitting revenge I suggest we all chip in $1, dress some "racing enthusiasts" in homemade racing uniforms and set them out doing tricycle re-enactments of great moments in Nascar on a backyard mud track. Then televise it.

It is really sad when people agree to do things like this, and it is even sadder when it escapes for others to see.

Do they have permission to have Moon Elves and other DnD trappings broadcast? Hasbro should zap them for letting that "DM" flounder around behind the DM screen.

The short-haired girl is kind of cute. But then, I have a thing for short haired girls. Even if she is a cleric/necromancer, whatever the heck that is.

Must be going for True Necromancer. What a munchkin. ;)

Last night before heading out to a Halloween party I flipped on G4TechTV, (which sucks now that the merger is complete), anyway, they had a segment on Dungeon Majesty.

A theater in LA held a screening and the DM and 4 chicks all showed up and did some schmoozing. One of the girls said when people, read that guys, find out they play, the women are interrogated, trying to discern if they really do play or not. The goober doing the interview asked what version they played and her answer was 3.5. I might be impressed if not for the incorrect usage of Bless displayed in the video.

But getting 4 relatively attractive women to play at any place other than a convention is probably worth noting. My "record" is two, not that it is a goal.
