Project Sigil Dungeons & Dragons Live at Gen Con Reveals 'Project Sigil'

Last night, an official Dungeons & Dragons live event took place--and it was played on Project Sigil, WotC's upcoming 3D virtual tabletop!

The event featured Aabria Iyengar as the Dungeon Master, Anjali Bhimani as Miri Yannen, Samantha Bèart as Karlach, Brennan Lee Mulligan as Dorbin Kragstone, and Neil Newbon as Astarion.

Same. Carl Pinder had a Kickstarter back in 2017ish that was 3D based, TabletopConnect, that was fun using Unity. He went to work for FG so seeing this using Unreal 4 or 5 should be fun.

This is nice and all but I really want there to be some sort of integration with digital or even better actual book purchases. I know it's hard for FLGSes to manage codes with books but gosh darnit... Figure it out already. We want books AND we want VTTs.

It does at least work nicely with Beyond.

Between Karlach and Astarian appearing in this and the previous note that Sigil would be bringing in a lot of BG3 assets, I'm hopeful that perhaps we'll get a level 12-20 tabletop adventure continuing the story of BG3 playable in Sigil (or on the kitchen table). I wonder how many non tabletop players of BG3 something like that could bring into the hobby?

Jeez, talk about a tease….80 minutes in and nothing yet around Sigil but there does seem to be laptops under the table cloths. Who knows when it will be show but these tend to be about 2 hours so maybe soon.

And they just rolled initiative and coming back to Sigil.
