Dungeons & Dragons the cartoon on DvD

I really didn't like the artist of the covers. The actual animation had better artwork (take a look at Eric's stance... He must be carrying a heavy invisible tray!)

I have the entire series on VHS tape, taped off TV.

I have to say, it really doesn't hold up. I mean, there's still some really cool stuff, but an awful lot of it is pretty goofy, even for a kids-oriented cartoon.

I'm not saying it sucks. I am saying I don't know if I'd recommend actually paying anything for it. :(

Hi Jeff. No, they're not available in the US. However, I did manage to get a complete set of DVDs on Ebay someone had burned of the show when they were on Fox. The packaging is very cool and the quality is better than I could have asked for.

As for whether they still hold up today, my good Rodent of the Dark, I have to disagree with you. I watch some of them at least once a month and still have a blast. The last few episodes are pretty bad in terms of writing but the rest are worthy of being broadcast today.

What did they charge you for those?

Heh, I purposely didn't say because I know I'll get razzed. I believe it was between $90 and $100. Considering I couldn't get it anywhere else (and still pretty much cannot) and it is one of the vital components in regaining my childhood, I thought it a fair price. As I said, the set (of 7 discs) is neatly packaged and the eps are almost all great quality.

There was a poll on the Rhino website asking about cartoons and DVDs and the D&D cartoon was one of the choices. I don't know if Rhino has the rights to the US disribution.
