As Hunter turns towards Lucious and comments about his actions, he sees the man's eyes glaze over for a second and then everyone notices the warlock start walking towards the clearing as if nothing in the world bothered him...

Shara realizes what's happening and gives chase. "Lucious, stop!" she yells as she reaches him, and then jumps onto his back. She manages to hang on, but at fully twice her weight, the hulking warlock doesn't seem to care. She gives up and drops back to the ground.

Magen Brigward, Fighter 3
Magen sees Lucious mindlessly walking towards the strange clearing then Shara calls for Lucious to stop. Something in her tone tugs at Magen and he springs into action, running to stop the traveller. Shara jumps on him trying to stop him, but gives up when she feels she can't do anything. It slows the big man down enough for Magen to catch up and he grabs the big man in a bear hug, pulling him to the ground and using his own weight to hold Luscious in place. "Lucious, Lucious! Magen shouts, trying to shake Lucious out of whatever this is.

While Shara and Hunter both notice Lucian odd behavior they don't react fast enough to stop him. Luckily Magen is fast enough and notices it early enough and grab's the warlock before he can jump. After a second the feeling seems to leave him and Lucian cannot recall why it seemed like such a good idea to jump just now...
As the heroes pull back from the clearing a female voice from within cries out to them "Please my lords! Help me. Do not leave me here my lords. There is a creature in the pit and it has captured me!!"
Looking back an elven madian wearing a fine silk-like dress and hair of spun gold can be seen standing within the middle of the clearing. She appears somewhat ghostly and semi-transparent and is chained to a post that was not there a moment ago.
"I am casting my image too you now for I am trapped within the monster's cave. Be warned that it is wicked and ugly and has only hate for those of beautify my lords. But please come and free me, I beg you!!!"

Lucious looks around confused. He realizes he is on the ground and that Magen is "hugging" him. He laughs and says, "Comrade if you wanted a hug, you need only ask." He then proceeds to hug Magen. As the strange voice speaks he stands back up helping his companions to their feet as well. "What's she on about?"

Shara is briefly relieved as Magen brings Lucious to the ground, but then she hears the elf-maiden's voice. She looks at the woman and something seems off. Suddenly worried again, she looks around quickly at her companions. "Don't listen! She's not real!"

The maiden continues to plead with the heroes to come rescue her but Shara can tell something is 'off' about her. The young priestess doesn't trust what she sees or hears. No one seems completed to approach the maiden though...
