Legend
The Dvargrfell Mountains Stretch up and down the Western coast of the Northern Peninsula of the Veld, far enough to enter the perpetually icy lands of the far north. The Mountains themselves are an imposing natural barrier, striking up hard from the sea where there are dozens of inlets and fjords, the mountains a break against the Great Sea’s natural storms. This has made the area inhospitable in the extreme and while there are dozens of small villages along the coast, mostly dwarven with a few humans, fishing and trading.

The small village of Rübendorf, nestled between the northernmost spire of the Dvargrfell Mountains, protected from the cold, is the jewel of the Odlgrate Barony. The furthest north of the Baronies of Isen, in the Dukedom of Norge.

Joachim Burser, Herblore, Lord of Soro, "Your father is well. Stable. Still weak, but on the melt to recovery. By the White Branch, he will recover from this ill. Though he is not a young man, and will become One with the Ice before overlong. You and your family should prepare."

Edmond sighed with relief, nodding to Joachim. "Thank you kindly, Lord Burser. We are indebted to you yet again. I hope the White Branch's healing arts will continue to hold for him. It has been many months since my father last corresponded to the good Duke of Norge. He should know of this at once, I should think. Perhaps you can send word? I know your work takes you many places."

Edmond stood, stretching as he glanced about at the wood and stone of the meager castle-hall. "My brothers will not doubt be relieved. Wilhird most of all. He has no desire for the baron's responsibilities for another year or three yet."

Joachim Burser, Herblore, Lord of Soro "My travels will not take me south for at least two moons. I'm not one to bespeak of a family, but you might want to send a family member."

"I see... Then perhaps I should confer with Wilhird on this matter. As the heir he should make the decision of who to send. Not to mention it'll be good practice for him." Edmond chuckled before glancing at the doorway. "I think I saw Wilhird downstairs. I will take my leave, but if you should need anything Lord Soro, you need only ask."
