Ishmael mounts Courage and is ready to move. He follows Nars, but leaves enough room between them so that the Dwarf can scout uninterfered..

The North Corridor

The north corridor is indeed dark though not quite 40 feet long and only about 5 feet wide. Nars is quickly able to determine that there is a door on the right, a door on the left, and a door at the far end of the corridor. From his position at the entrance to the corridor he can see that the door on the left and the far door are open.

Dalamar, no one has left the room yet, but I'll keep that in mind as soon as they do.

Nars keeps an eye up the cooridor and puts and ear (+4) to the closed door to the right. If he hears nothing, he will examine the handle/lock for traps (+9) and say quietly back to his companions, "Closed door to the, er, right." He does not want to leave any enemies behind them if he can help it.

Listening at the door, Nars is unable to hear anything. Gingerly examining the handle and door for any traps he discovers that there are none, nor is the door locked. With his ears open he does not detect any sound coming from either of the open doors either.

With a sigh of disappointment that the door is not locked, he says quietly, "It's *sigh* not locked." He gives his companions time to gather around Ishmael and Gorefoot near the front. He places an X with his chalk on the door and then redraws his second sword and opens the door.

Gorefoot strains to make out any details in the darkness beyond his vision. His senses are alert, and his sword is at the ready. He glances behind him to make sure the Percy is still there, and then continues to follow Nars and Ishmael.

Percy moves with the group, allowing Rodimus to linger behind. She stays behind Gorefoot, torch in one hand, loaded crossbow in the other.

The Small Bedroom

Nars, you have no trouble opening the door, entering with your sword ready. As you enter the room you stir up a thin cloud of dust. The feeble light spilling through the open door reveals a spartan bedroom, furnished with a cupboard on your immediate left, and a chest in the near right corner. Ahead of you is a large double bed. Just to the left of the bed, you can make out the outlines of a chair pulled up to a table. A thick gold necklace hangs from the wall above the bed.

As everyone files out of the room, Rodimus does the dirty work finishing off the last of the gnolls including the captured one. He begins dragging the bodies away for disposal while Nars opens the door. It may take a few minutes to get them all piled together.

Nars smiles when he sees the chest. Surely this will be locked. He sets about his job, examining the chest for traps and then opening the lock.

Percy

"Double bed? Could this room be for gnolls?"

Does it smell like gnolls? Is it a mess, like one would assume gnolls would leave it?

"I don't trust this place, Nars. Do be careful." Percy is paranoid, but, none the less, walks in and approaches the table. Is there anything on it?
