E2: The Secret of Gemhold [Patlin Judging]

"What?!? Er, no I didn't. Just, ah, restin' my, er, eyes." Rodimus sees his face darken in the tell-tale signs of a blush seen though darkvision. "What the-?" Nars continues as he pulls the flowers from his head. He thinks back, trying to remember what happened before he fell asleep. He had taken a few sips from his flask, but he always did that before bed and he'd never fallen asleep before. He tries and fails to remember how many sips he had taken and his face becomes an even darker shade of red.

As Nars reaches up to grab the flow from his head it emits a loud yell. Well not that loud. Loud enough to wake everyone up as all the flowers growing around his head uproot themselves. Each flower is really petals growing from the top of a little fairy or pixie. The swarm of Petals swirl around Nars trying to stop him from grabbing the one on his head. One flits in front of his nose and baps him with a twig.

Nars immediately realizes what had happened, hearkening back to an earlier experience with fey and falling asleep in the woods. Nars quits trying to remove the flowers, content to curse, "Bah, you and, er, ah your magic, phhhft, leave me alone."

Ridik opens his eyes and see the little creature. "Fae? First time I see some. They are beautifull. That's interesting, they are creature of wild magic. I've read a few things about them, but most had a tendency to contradict each other, so I am not sure now what to believe. It will be interesting to see which version was true... do you think they speak, they looks like to but if they can, which language? Maybe they have see the people we are searching for."

Gorefoot wakes with a start. His eyes widen in surprise at the sight of Petals flitting about Nars. "Huh. Didn't think I'd see those things out here." He moves up next to Percy, and watches as the little fey creatures "torment" Nars.

The petal in front of Nar's face, thumbs it's nose and spits out its tongue at him. While the one on his head manages to uproot itself from his scraggly hair. The others move around him in a whirling circle laughing at their companion's gestures. The group of them start to sign a little silly song in whistles and melodic notes (without words).

Percy and Nezrak are startled to feel sharp spears touch their backs as two silent green men appear out of no where behind them. The spears are pulled away but remain leveled at the group as the party turns to meet this new threat. Two small humanoid-shaped creature thickly garbed in rubbery leaves hold a buckler and grips a thornlike longspear. Their skin is dark green, and their hair is brown.

In light tones, the one behind Percy speaks, "Why do you disturb our circle?.

"Oh! Hi." tells Ridik surprised by the two warriors. "We just wanted to rest. It is pretty wet around and we wanted to sleep a bit and have a little confort. We didn't knew it was yours (I must tells we didn't knew you exists before a few seconds ago) or we would have asked permission. I hope we haven't offenced you (we didn't mean to) by sleeping here. Oh, by the way, is there any chnace that you have cross some gnomes in the region. A nomad tribe that we are searching, they have lost there home because of a goblin clan (Not my clan by the way)." tells Ridik, looking at the one who have spoken with some interest.

Assuming he notices the spear that poked Percy or sees it pointed at her, Gorefoot has to restrain himself from trying to murder the two fey. Though surprised, he remains silent for now, but stays tense and ready for trouble.

Nars jumps at the voice of the spearman, embarrassed that he did not notice them approach. He remains silent, but his hand moves inside his cloak as he warily watches the two.
