Ususally the place sells for approximately 1/2 cover price, but I caught them in a "Extra 50% off all hardcovers" sale...so the total bill was...

65 dollars Canadian.

Color me jealous for the great finds. Though that is certainly something to brag about. I mean, I thought I was da bomb when my local store had a copy of Frostburn for 15 bucks. That other stuff? Sheer awesome!

I guess I should mention that I did get a copy of Savage Species for $16, then used a store discount program to get another 10% off. I can't believe I waited this long to pick up this excellent book!

Similarly, a local comic store has a 25% off bin, and another 50% off bin. If a game book doesn't sell, it goes into the former, and eventually the latter. Then they have quarterly "20% off everything in the store" sales. I think I got a $35 book for $14 that way more than once. Patience is a virtue!

Last time I left my number with the used book store and told them that if anything else came in to give me a call.

Got a call at lunch today, and Complete Mage, Complete Scoundrel, Spell Compendium and Dungeonscape came in.

so I went in to grab them...and the 50% off hardcover sale is still on!

All 4 books for 36 bucks Canadian in total.

And no uncomfortable conversations
