Eberron adventures - do they feature psionics?

Psion

Adventurer
I've been wondering of late if I should throw my support behind Eberron (which is to say, start buying and using it). After all, it supports core psionics (something, sadly, that many of the remaining d20 publishers have turned away from) and has pretty good support in Dungeon.

But I am given to wonder: how good is the support for Psionics? Do the adventures feature any psionic characters or creatures?

None of the 3 published adventures feature psionic material.

Races of Eberron has a nice ammount of psionics, since it covers the kalashtar.

Explorer's Handbook has a little psionic material, since it features two locations in Riedra, the Inspired-controlled continent.

Sharn: City of Towers has very little psionic material (in fact, I think only a couple of NPC mentions)

Five Nations has, IIRC, no psionic material.

Magic of Eberron, IIRC, will feature more psionics.

Of course, with psionics already ingrained in the setting, you just have to plunk down a kalashtar NPC or something without needing to explain the origin of his powers.

Who cares about Psionics?

Who cares? Psionics are a needless psudeo-magic add on to D&D / d20. It's ammounts to magic for accountants w/ all its powerpoints and what not. Some ideas are kind of cool, like the psi-blade, but mostly dull, dull, dull.

Well,

Considering someone posted the question their are probably a few of us that do. But thanks for vomiting out your close-minded opinion, Reverend.

In any case there is a significant amount of Psionic support in Magic of Eberron including psionic warforged (psiforged) and psionic artificers. I know there have been several Eberron adventures in Dungeon. However I haven't read all of them so I don't know if there are any psi elements to them. I do know that the novel series being written by Keith Baker has a strong Kalashatar thread in it. The series is called "The Dreaming Dark" after all.

I do, elsewise I would not have posted the thread.

But thanks for caring. I am sorry that I enjoy what you consider wrongfun. But please don't threadcrap. If you aren't interested in the thread, there are plenty of others.

Thanks for those that contributed to the thread.

None of the dungeon adventures have any psionics yet either, atleast not the ones I've read (which is most of them, but not all).

However, having psionics built in from the start is great and support in the main book, races of eberron and from the sounds of it magic of is perfect for me. Now just to supliment it with Hyperconscious and Complete Psionics when it comes out and you're good to go.

The general philosophy for Eberron is they want psionics that can be something that DMs can ignore in the campaign if they don't like psionics. I don't think you'll find any psionic support in adventures unless the adventure is specifically psionics oriented.

IIRC, one of the encounters in the adventure trilogy originally took place at the Riedran ambassador's party, but it was changed in the final version.
