These things can be a tremendous issue in most games. The ones in the eberron game we played had to be "pushed off" something high to activate.

Basically it's a flying carpet in game terms; so I'd just use that as a base.

If I'm not mistaken they're made of 'soarwood' or whatever, and slowly drift downwards. I dunno where I found that. Explorers ahandbook or sumpthing.

Yeah, soarwood is no problem, but it doesn't answer the question of from where they get their motive power. I like the magic carpet idea. Thanks all.
