[Eberron] City of Towers, anyone heard this complaint?

Not here....big font, especially in a relatively thin book, just tells me the author didn't have as much to say I like big, meaty books that take a while to work through.

It didn't bother me. What did bother me was the sloppy editing. There were too many misspelled words and other mistakes. I guess the editors who used to work for Mongoose back in the day got hired on by WotC's fiction division.

Editors? They don't proofread! The small font didn't bother me, although I thought it was odd. I agree about the lack of proofreading, but that seems to be rampant these days, and not just in game-related material.
