Seeing Lady Rebekah being attacked, Emmyr growled. “Ah’m comin’, milady!” He slid between Templeton and the bandit captain, but he was still engaged, as the man swung wildly.

“Jus’...be a moment, milady!” Emmyr apologized, before launching a vicious attack at the bandit leader. His short sword slid through the man’s defenses and into the seam of his armor as his axe slammed into the bandit’s leg.

[EarlyBird]

The fighters all hear an odd squeaking noise coming from the northern corner of the room. An open archway that may lead to a gallery or kitchen area off of the main hall is suddenly filled with a swarm of angry rats as they coming pouring out from the area.

The occurrence unnerves the bandit captain and his crew as they now wonder if staying is at all prudent. The continue to defend themselves, but the party can see they aren't skilled warriors just thugs relying on brute force and luck.

Bekah manages to catch her assailant in the side as he moves away from the rolling fireball. Templeton notices the smell of something burning, and yelps when he finds out his one good cloak is almost totally engulfed in flames.

Templeton cried out in surprise and pain. He goes running in attempt to snuff his smouldering clothing.

Templeton dances away from the flaming sphere and manages to get his cloak put out. He ends up next to the bandit reloading his crossbow, who upon seeing the rogue next to him stops what he is doing and backs away from the bloody rapier wielding scout. <disengage>

Rana blasts away at the rats that were bearing down on Aridha, causing the girl to jump at the closeness of the blast. Then Bekah finishes the bandit with the club, stabbing the man through. She then yells at the druid to move the flame out of the way. Aridha gets lost in the confusion of the melee before refocusing on what it is she needed to do.

The fight with the bandit captain continues on. Hexiros and Emmyr getting in good shots and expertly blocking the furious return swings of the bandit leader.

Templeton pursued the bandit taking refuge in the corner. The enemy evaded his deadly rapier but took a long but shallow wound from his following knife strike.
