EB's Tyranny of Dragons - OOC (full)

Not sure how this is going with just the two of us playing or what you plan to do. I don't know how TallIan feels about this either. We could play two PCs each as was discussed earlier. Two fighters and a ranger don't really make for a viable 1e D&D party. I'd be happy to make up a human magic user or a half-elf cleric-magic user. And if a sudden influx of characters happens the extra PCs could just fade away at an appropriate story point.

NP jmucchiello, I was thinking of adding in NPCs that would help with whatever mission the group was about to undertake, until the players were ready for their second character.

I think I will only have tglassy play the one till he is more familiar with AD&D, and then maybe he'll aquire an apprentice or manservant character.

As for you an TallIan, you two should decide what holes in the party you wish to fill and how those characters will relate to your other one. I thought William was in the market for a squire later on in the game, so that should be easy enough to incorporate.

Let's say the end of March if no one else joins the party we will start introducing the new characters.

I was thinking of getting a squire, but that sort of means more of the same character (maybe with a Xbow instead) but I envisage William (at some point) with a full knightly fellowship of men at arms, archers and support (clearly a very long term vision), so it might be worth getting a ranged follower first. Possibly I should have gone for a cavalier - oh well.

March sounds like a good plan.

The squire could be a rogue and then either dual class or never really gets better with horsemanship and martial weapons.

You could go total different with the character and get a squire via the henchmen rules.

Tina acquiring a sidekick is easy, especially if they are non-human. The sidekick can be someone who met her grandfather when they were still in their youth. And perhaps feel they owe a debt of gratitude to his family. And thus this other character can also be of any class. My first thought is for a magic-user/thief elf. They also can become Tina's teacher in the thieving arts.
