Eddie Gurreno died?

Autopsy says that Eddie Guererro died of congenital heart failure.

I lost a 20 dollar bet when it turned out to not be drug-related.

I was happy to pay up.

If you wanted to be anal about it, TB, you could've claimed victory. Reports, including one from his wife, say that his heart failure was brought on by the damage that years of alcohol & drug abuse caused before he got himself clean & sober 4 years ago.

Naw, I won't sink to the level of trying to wrest a win on a technicality.

The guy died clean and sober. That was the fulcrum upon which the bet turned..

I was really quite happy to lose this one.

I had read that he had been abusing perscription pills. Not sure how valid that was though. The WWE has steped up its drug testing because of this tragedy.

That's Nick "Eugene" Dinsmore you're thinking of. He was hospitalized during the WWE's recent European tour for overdosing on painkillers and that's what led to the new drug testing policy at WWE.

One good thing that came out of the tragedy was Chavo ditching that horrible "Kerwin White" gimmick.

Agreed, though its sad it had to take the death of Eddie to do it.

Good to see Chavo is doing the five-star frog splash as a tribute now too.
