You may not have automatically known, you just said "nearest creature." Even if you did know, if a magma Memphit was the nearest creature, that could have been disappointing. Either way, the dice rolled in your favor.

No I said nearest creature assuming Lola did not know this information, regardless of what Queenie does know. I did that on purpose. I am asking now to clarify, if you think Lola, or all of us, would know, I'm grateful and will go forward with this knowledge. Obviously you're posting the specific info for a reason but I don't like to assume my character knows something. Has she been hanging on the planes recently partying with Mephits and I don't recall? Maybe she has! Lol

Ah, I see what you mean, my apologies.

People can make inferences, even if they don't actually know the lore. However, tell you what. Make an arcana check to see what more of the lore you actually know about these things. I'm used to just rolling for everyone on the other forum I'm DMing on (it doesn't have it's own forum, and most of them are newbies, so I just roll), but here, you can do that yourself.

Everyone does it differently and I guess most people just know this stuff and assume their characters know it... I DON'T know it, and so my characters don't know it lol.

Arcana: 1D20+5 = [4]+5 = 9
