Elements of Magic + D20 Modern = ?

I'm currently thinking about a feat/skill magic system (but it's for scifi, so I call it 'power' instead of magic). And when I've finished it, I'll let people know (it's based on an established non-d20 system that I just can't improve any more). That said, I think Elements is quite close to my ideal system, and when I have money I'm certain to buy it. (And Traveller d20, but that's another story.)

Yeah, but it doesn't bear out in the rules so far...there's cold subtyle and fire subtype, not cold subtype and fire/earth subtype...

I mean, yuo can make it work, but it's still not very satisfying...though, again, I'm not sure you could make it satisfying (because that would basically mean that Water = Ice)....

Could someone with both EoM and d20M comment on how easy it would be to integrate the EoM rules with the Modern spellcasting Advanced Classes?

Also, does any know of a good symbol (rune) based rules set?

Thanks!

Okay less time than that...

Seems pretty staight forward...

The Mage and Acolyte just seem to translate to a +1 spellcaster level/per level. You could limit the lists to reflect the divine/arcane nature, but EoM makes no real distinction between the two.

Treat the Occultist as really a none spell-caster, he just knows how to use magical devices, and so can cast spells from scrolls. I'm not sure if you would have to give an "effective spellcaster level" or something like that, I'll need to read a bit more.
