I like barequed elves, forsaken elves, elves with no culture but are feral and wild, and generally, just elves no one wants as PCs. :p :)

Other: Cerilean elves, somewhere in-between the core D&D elf and the sidhe & alfar of European myth. They don't have religion or lifespans, and they hate humans & like dwarves.

Yeah, I like them, also.

Voted 'other'.

Somewhere between Standard D&D Elf and Sidhe.

Magical, definitely related to the fey, every bit as chaotic as they are good. Sing, dance, get plowed on feywine, boff on a whim, live passionately, and know the value of letting something be forgotten. The flipside of the coin being that they can be rather flighty, capricious, mysterious, prone to mood swings, etc.

I like my elves without the Superior To Thou bullcrap and the amazingly arrogant attitude.

Take the stoic, reliable, hard-working, clannish, gruff, kinda violent, somewhat greedy, memory-a-mile-long dwarf stereotype and completely reverse it. That.

I like elves that behave as ageless adolescents with a chaotic alignment.

In other words, not stuffy wizards masters of arcane power. They can never look old enough to fit that role. Magic mastery is the gnomes' niche.

And their memories are very short. So short, naturally, that they only developed some sort of civilization after they've discovered their "remembrance trance" which lets them keep things in mind.

The Gentry all the way.

Although, to be honest, Sluggy Freelance has put a soft spot in my heart for Keebler elves.

The Gentry are modeled after the Sidhe of legend, with very little variation. Fae are MEANT to be creepy, IMO. Human-like but definitely not human.

Thus, I picked the Sidhe as my preferred Elf. The Norse Alfar are really closer to the Elves of D&D than the Sidhe are, though. I don't mind the Norse Alfar as much as others might.
