Elves and resurrection

I seem to remember that in 1E you couldn't resurrect elves, but in 3E there doesn't appear to be any such restrictions. Is this correct?

Correct. Well, mostly. In previous editions, an Elf could only be brought back from the dead with a Resurrection spell. Raise Dead didn't work for Elves.

In 3rd Edition, they removed the Raise Dead restriction.
