I know I read a clarification about this somewhere, but I can find it... Does anyone know if Elves, while trancing, are helpless, and thus able to have a Coup de Grace performed on them?
The book, AFAIK, doesn't say specifically that they are helpless, but it does say that they "dream", by actively remembering old events, and making up new ones in their head.
They aren't affected by sleep spells, which implies that this is a different sort of thing than sleep is.
But I can't find anything official one way or another. I know that as the GM, I get to decide, no matter WHAT the book says, but I'd at least rather know the way WoTC sees it....
