Well, have no doubt that I am 100% for free markets.
And I did not mean to imply that there would be hard feelings. Just that it will get interesting.
Talon was established before EN world and just found another market here. Good for him.
He became the semi-official on-line retailer of EN.
But now there is an official retailer.
While I am sure that Talon is happy to get every EN sell that comes his way, if he was doing fine before, he will continue to do fine in the future.
I doubt that a real large fraction of the EN world folks will be regulars for either option.
Further, I am sure that most satisfied Talon shoppers (including yours truly) will tend to stay with what has worked.
So it will be interesting to see how things break out.
How many people will decide to buy from EN instead of the local store?
How many of Talon's EN customer's will switch to EN?
Will future EN members who buy on-line be drawn more to the established reputation of Talon or the automatic association of EN?
I wish both sides the best. And based on attitudes previously expressed, I would be shocked and amazed to note any hard feelings from either side.
But I will still find it all very interesting.
