EN World vs. Talon

I don't know... I buy from my local store due to the discount of a friend.

But I have a freind who buys from Talon and reads the boards. I think he will likely stay with Talon in the prices are similar.

I doubt Talon will take offense. I know he's got PLENTY of loyal customers both here and else where. EN-World though will survive either way.

Unfortunately capitalism is founded on competition, everybody has to make a living. As much as we might like to support both Talon and EN World it's unlikely people are going to buy two copies of everything just to keep both people happy. Of course as has been pointed out, it's a pretty big pie and hopefully it's big enough for everyone.

I think that you're right, Nightfall. Talon has customers who will continue to purchase from him based on who he is (an EN Boards buddy who also games and has a family gaming shop in Texas).

I see the big draw of customers for EN World/RPGshop coming from people who would normally purchase similar items through Amazon.com or to purchase pdfs they may have gotten from other sources previously.

Talon and EN World/RPGshop aren't in competition with one another. I don't think that Derek or MoRuss would perceive it that way, nor do I think that they would they want others to suggest that they are, IMHO.

I've heard a rumor that while PC was down in Texas this week, he autographed a c few copies of the module for Talon to sell...
