Enemies going stealth????

I understand most of the stealth rules for 4e and the general concept of stealth skill vs. perception but what if the enemy wants to try to stealth on the PCs? I can't find any skills listed for the enemies in the MM and have already tried a google search with no luck. Any help on how to have enemies stealth would be great. Thanks

If they are trained in stealth it'll be under their trained skills with the correct total. If they aren't it is just their dex mod+1/2 level, which is handily already calculated in the number in parenthesis next to str/dex/etc.

When did stealth get verbbed?

4th Edition, I assume! This is a very common thing at tables where I've played or DMed, to use "Stealth" as a verb. It's handy shorthand, too - it's quicker to say, "I'm going to Stealth over here..." instead of, "I'm going to move over here and then make a Stealth check to attempt to become hidden..."

Thanks aulirophile "If they aren't it is just their dex mod+1/2 level, which is handily already calculated in the number in parenthesis next to str/dex/etc." this was exactly what I was looking for. My only question would be where did you find this information? PHB? of DMG? what page or section? The reason I ask is so I can apply the correct ability mod to the correct untrained skill for all the other skills. But I'm not sure which goes with which, I hope this is not confusing and thanks for all your help.

MM1 on how to read the monster block.

Skills
This line shows only trained skills or skills in which the monster
has a racial bonus. A monster’s Perception score appears
elsewhere in its statistics and isn’t repeated here.
Ability Scores
This section shows the monster’s six ability scores, presented
so that each vertical pair contributes to one of the three
defenses (Fortitude, Reflex, and Will). Following each score
in parentheses is the adjusted ability score modifier including
one-half the monster’s level, which is useful whenever the
monster needs

And the PHB, in the Skills chapter, lists the relevant stat for each skill.

Look at the skill list on a player's character sheet.

The ability score the player adds to a given skill is the ability score a monster will add to the same skill.
