Enlarge and Arrows.

It seems that this question has been asked before but my quick searches couldn't find it.

For some reason I had got it into my head that when you were enlarged (per the first level wizard spell) all items (including arrows, bolts and daggers) that left your person reverted to their original size and not the current magically enlarged size.

That means the Arcane Archer who has enlarged himself will still be doing a base 1d8 points of damage per arrow instead of the 'large' damage arrow of 2d6 points of damage.

I went back to the 3.5 PHB and after re-reading the enlarge spell it seems that the arrows do keep their enlarged size after leaving the bow. So to sum up the question:
1. What is the correct damage for an arrow that leaves the person of someone under the effects of an enlarge spell.

thanks,
Ysgarran.

p.s.
Relevant Text from the Enlarge Spell:

All equipment worn or carried by a creature is similarly enlarged by the spell. Melee and projectile weapons affected by this spell deal more damage. Other magical properties are not affected by this spell. Any enlarged item that leaves an enlarged creature’s possession (including a projectile or thrown weapon) instantly returns to its normal size. This means that thrown weapons deal their normal damage, and projectiles deal damage based on the size of the weapon that fired them. Magical properties of enlarged items are not increased by this spell.

An arrow fired from the longbow of a previously medium-size creature would do 2d6 + bonuses. The reason is that it's the longbow that defines the damage, not the arrow. Looking on the Weapon Descriptions table, you'll see that arrows have no damage value.

I'm not really convinced. Ysgarran quoted the text from the spell. The part that I thought applied was (my emphasis bolded):

Any enlarged item that leaves an enlarged creature’s possession (including a projectile or thrown weapon) instantly returns to its normal size.
To me, that says the arrow reverts to medium-sized. Are you saying that is irrelevant because it was fired from a large sized weapon?

Try reading the next sentence of the bit you quoted: (emphasis mine)

Note that the two highlighted sentences do not contradict each other.

well, if you think about it, shortbows and longbows use the same ammunition, but deal different damage. An enlarged longbow would deal 2d6 points of damage, period. As stated by the spell description, it used the longbows damage. The only time ARROW damage is considered is when it is used as a melee weapon, in which it never leaves your hand.

Humorously, a wu jen using giant size or dimuntive size, when firing an arrow, would either fire one that became smaller than its fingernail, or larger than its entire body.

Well, thanks to the enlightenment, I for one will be pestering my friendly sorceror for Enlarge Person (which he knows) for my archer character. Great for helping to overcome damage reduction.

There are just no arrows of different size/damage in the PHB. There's "arrows" only, no damage. It's the bows that have damage.
