A part of the problem with wide open discussions is that some people may be reluctant to express very valid and useful opinions for whatever reason because they cannot do so and remain anonymous. This poll will hopefully open up the information flow and give us all a less restrictive option than simply posting in a thread where there is no poll.

Please sticky this poll/thread so that we can hear from as many people as possible on the issues

Please choose one from the 6 posibilities for question 1, choose one from the three selections for question 2 and one from the five options for question 3. If you do not care to vote on one of the three question or your answer would be "I don't know/care/etc." please just refrain from voting on the questions where that applies for you. If you wish to share your opinion as to why you did or did not vote in a certain way, please feel free to post below. Otherwise, maintain your anonymity as you desire for whatever reasons you may wish to do so.

Thank you for your time. :)

Heh, I voted for the last choice in each category. Do I get a prize?

Seriously though, any added restrictions on judges or entrants would be superfluous and counterproductive.

It'd be nice if we could find a fair method of ensuring at least two of the judges are new guys each year.

I think it really should be more of a fan based award as oppsed to a critics choice thing.

Finally let everyone in, it'll be all the sweeter when smaller companies win over the "Big guys" like Wizards.

Until they get this stickied to the top, perhaps people who vote could give it a bump, please, even if you don't wish to elaborate on how you have voted. :)

Me too, and I agree 100%.

1) I'd like to see a couple of new judges joining the panel each year.

2) A good blend seems best to me.

3) Some minor restrictions might be prudent given their name recogniton and industry clout, but nothing too stringent or severe.

1A 2C 3E

personally, i feel most strongly about 3E. I think there are several d20 products that could whip WOTC and they should have a shot at doing so.

The Book of the Righteous and If Thoughts Could Kill are better than almost everything WOTC has published. (IMHO) :D

I also put in a vote for some new blood each year and the vote you had for us to pick who we wanted to be judges, or at least a new judge, was great, even if I got landslided out of it and that's okay because those who got voted at the top deserve it I think.
