They were both mistakes. Perhaps you shouldn't jump down my throat the next time I make one. :)

there's a huge difference between a typo, and someone invoking the "rules of probability" and proving they don't know them themself.

And I agree, that the designers of the contest are utterly unaware of D&D rules, completely unprepared for the cheese that can flow from those ridiculous non-rules.

A mistake is a mistake, big or small. When a person makes one, it would be rude to say "Think before typing!" over and over.
