Leaning towards monk/sorc.

When you say divinations are banned, does that include:

Detect Magic
Identify
See Invisible
Arcane or Greater Arcane Sight
Scrying/Greater scrying

And so on.

The others who posted in this thread and expressed an interest in playing:

Pyrex

I wasn't expecting this to get rolling this fast given that originally there wasn't a DM. ;)

Given that I won't have time to put together a PC until after New Years I'll just bow out on this one.

A simple character concept is needed from each of you if you are still interested. Whichever seems most interesting gets in.

Hey Brazeku!

I'll be tra velling for the next few weeks so I'll bow out.
Cheers,

SG

Fair enough Pyrex, Steve Gorak; if we lose a player at some point and you folks want to jump in down the road, you're always welcome!

Shayuri, RE: divination magic: I ban all divination magic because I find that it tends to transform investigation into the equivalent of a magical code-breaking race. That includes even seemingly minor stuff like detect magic, and even the highly defensive detect invisible.

However, if there is a class that has a divination-based feature, I may leave it intact, or more likely change it. I never just nullify the feature. Player input re: divination features that they want changed in a certain way is encouraged (I'm pretty flexible this way on any class feature, really, I want you to create the characters you want within the rough power limits of the party).

I'm interested but I think I'm in too many games already. This one would also be practically impossible to create a character for since I'm already extremely slow at making non-epic characters above first level. The highest level character I've ever had was ten and that game lasted for about one page before the DM went AWOL. So I don't even have any high level experience.

I'd love to play but I don't think I can.

I wanted to ask before I changed my character sheet, are these feats (from PHB II, Complete Warrior, and Complete Adventurer) okay? I'm trying to make him more of a scout, but still combat effective. These are definetly not life and death, just to hopefully complete my role better.

(PHB II)
Deadeye shot--- readied action, if an ally attacks the same target and succeeds, then that foe is denied their Dex bonus to my attack.

Keen-Eared Scout-- Listen check reveals extra information about sound

(C.A.)
Tactile Trapsmith-- Add your dex bonus instead of int bonus to all Search and Disable Device checks.

(C.W.)
Improved Rapidshot-- Ignore -2 penalty when using Rapid Shot

Ranged Disarm-- Use ranged weapon to disarm an opponent within 30feet.

Moritorium on ALL divination is kind of cramping my style.

Entertaining second thoughts about concept...and about game.

Will have final stats, or withdrawl, tomorrow evening.

Sorry about delay.

Direlemming: ah gotcha. Yeah, these characters take a long time to put together. No worries.

Shayuri: if divination is normally your thing, the real difference is that I handle it through investigation, scouting, and dealing with NPCs. If that's not your bag, fair enough, it is a slightly different type of high level D20. But if there's a particular concept you're headed for, we can probably work something out.

Ryfte, did you want in? I didn't actually notice your post before. You could probably sneak in no problem.

Also, to OnlytheStrong: yes, PHB2 feats are a-okay.
