Epic misprint

I am sorry if this has been mentioned before.

But on page 37 of ELH it has a section for allowing PC classes and prestige classes for your followers from leadership.

Is says that an adept or aristocrat counts (for follower level) as 2 levels higher. A follower with a PC class counts as 3 levels higher, and a follower with a prestige class counts as five levels higher.

But in the example it shows an adept or aristocrat as only 1 level higher, and a PC class as 2 levels higher (the Prestige Class example is correct).

So should I use the text or the example?

Thanks.

Generally speaking, its better to use the text itself unless the text makes no sense.

Another good rules of thumb is to use the version that is least powerful, and then up the power level when errratta changes it. Its easier to add levels to followers than remove them.
