Eric at GenCon -- the Special Collector's Edition Thread

Actually now that I think of it, my Gen Con was like about 2/3 hanging with you:)

Yeah, Mister Stingy! Next time see if you can free up a little more of your schedule for me, dammit! :D

While they were here in Chicago, MoRuss and Al got to meet a buddy of mine who is from your area. He's of Squamish descent (though lived more recently in St. Louis) and I had forgotten to mention that to you. Maybe one day I'll get up to Vancouver to check out that beautiful scenery. :)

Man, Squamish is an interesting little place.

Inexplicably, at the same time every year about 4000 Bald Eagles arrive there and just...swarm.

They fill the branches of every tree, they are perched upon the peaks of all buildings, just thousands of them.

And every year, American tourists barrage our government with demands to be allowed to hunt them. Our generally stupid government has, thus far, not allowed it.

No one can really figure out why they arrive there. As near as I c an figure, they are not migratory birds, nor are they social (no flocks), but nonetheless they arrive like clockwork in a horde.

I'll ask my buddy about that and see if he has either a scientific explanation or one steeped in the folklore of his people (or both). :)

Ah, 4 hours of sleep later and I'm a new man!
I never dreamed that my stupid little list of rumors for 3E would lead me down a road leading to being on stage at GenCon. It was an unforgetable experience.

Eric, you totally deserve it. There aren't many fans (besides you and Morrus) with the level of dedication--not to mention people skill, web design skill, and journalistic talent--to keep up a page like yours.
