Even Newer(er) Tavern Thread: The Hanged Man

With a pause to straighten his shoulders (and slow his heartbeat) Esraethan rises and steps forward at the summons. Looking at the half-giant, he reflects that the sergeant probably doesn't *need* any weapons.

"Esraethan here, sir!"

*Hunzu looks to the sergeant giving him only a slight nod. He reached up to fix his top hat and straighten his tie before clenching his polearm in hand and following the Sergeant outside.*

At the arrival of the military men, Siveris jumps down off his barstool, and strides over to the half-giant. He sketches a small bow, then looks up... far up into the eyes of the sargeant with an equally cold and calculating expression.

"I believe there's been some sort of error. I am Siveris Smythe, and I have enlisted to join the war effort, but my name has not yet been called. Nevertheless, I am at your service... er, reporting for duty, yes that's it."

Len guzzles the last of his ale and leaps from his seat. Thank gods for that, he thinks to himself, they would have found me soon if I'd hung around here much longer.

Approaching the door with a degree of apprehension, Len nods at the guards standing on either side of it. Turning to the one on the right, he says "'Scuse me a moment. Nothin' personal!"

Len grabs the ogre by its enormous leg, as if to hug it. Instead, he holds on to it as leverage as he pokes his head out the door and looks left and right. Satisfied with what he sees - or doesn't see - Len lets go of the ogre's leg and looks up, saying "Thanks, pal!" before scooting out the door.

"I am a specialist in people sir, not the arcane. But I would be interested in coming to provide an 'Insight'." Karma remarked to Rabbit his sparkling green eyes focused hungrily on the drama that was unfolding with the ogre in the corner.
