Angel Tarragon
Dawn Dragon
As in reality and fantasy: life is fleeting. Even more so if you're an adventurer. The player has to realize that something could happen that ends his character's life. As a player I do not develop a lengthy history for any characters unless he/she survives at least 4 sessions. I do not get attached to any PCs or NPCs for that matter. If I do get attached to an NPC (currently 4) I remove them from active status. Normally in mid to high level games, the NPC the characters go up against is just a pawn of someone else. So no biiggie.
Edit: Seems I missed the point a little. Bluntly: No, I have never had remorse about killing off a character. But even more bluntly, it wasn't me that killed off the character, it was the player. Players need to be intelligent, if they gett attached, and look for ways to survive (there are always plenty of options).
