Ever had others think you were gay?

Not really (though it happened a couple of times in one night when I was at a gay bar/club for a bit). I have apologized for not being gay, though.
Basically, I'm constantly telling people, "No, I'm not _______."
It's like the first time I found out that your name isn't actually Danny. My little EN World shattered.

For some reason there was a time when a couple of my female coworkers thought I was gay. It's because I didn't have a girlfriend at the time and on occasion I would meet with friends (all guys) and hang out after work. Maybe they were surprised because I was actually being professional at work and not trying to hit on them all the time despite not having a girlfriend.

Heh. I ended up marrying one of them. Somewhere down the line she came to realize I wasn't gay. :)

Haha, we're safe. My name is James! (Though I imagine some people might think my name is Jameson, and I don't mean to hurt them!)
:Blink:
OK, actually, I thought your screenname was a reference to Jameson Irish Whiskey, and a play on "liquid courage". I also thought it might be "James on Courage", like "Ebert on Movies" or something. Now I'm just confused.

Fortunately we've still got the old reliables, like Dog Moon.
Just so you know, my real name isn't Dog.

Well,
:):):):rant::).

Yup, one girl thought once I was gay. I had to be, cause I wasn't hanging out with girls or had a girlfriend.
Though somehow she missed the part, where I wasn't hanging out with boys either. Cause I am an introvert and cannot really stand hanging out with lots of people.

Most people here think that, I think. I've never actually had Jameson Irish Whiskey (I'm not really a drinker). Been drunk like, I don't know, maybe four times. The name comes from a random name generator where you enter your real name and it spits one out. I was in high school at the time, but this is what it gave me. (It was a "Mormon Name Generator", I believe.) I thought it was awesome at the time, so I've used it off and on since.

Not for a very long time, and very seldom even back then.

The only instance I'll probably never forget was that guy who tried to impinge a discussion about the advantages of being circumcised. He was very keen to give me a demonstration - on the university campus.
