Experience Points & Leveling...How Fast

Starting a 4E Homebrew Campaign on the 2nd of August and was wondering what people's experiences have been with how fast characters are leveling and advancing using the new XP system.

To quick? Not fast enough?

22 hours played, and my players are exactly halfway between 2nd and 3rd level. So around 12-15 hours per level, which is exactly what we prefer.

We've played 3 or 4 times, each session lasting about 4 hours, and we've leveled twice. So our group has taken 6-8 hours of gameplay per level. I think the DM is advancing us a bit faster than we should, though, but we don't mind.

Thanks for the answers. Seems a good pace...though I would shoot for something between the two above examples.
