If you don't allow MCing, and I don't, FS is OP: an arcane full caster, with access to all the best blasty spells - plus curing spells - one feat away from plate + shield. I guess compared to bard perhaps it isn't OP... I dunno, it's certainly a lot better than the original bard subclasses.
Now we have the Storm version with added spells again,

Yeah, interesting. I'm wondering if this is the direction they're leaning to give sorcerer's a bit of a bump. I think it's a good way to go.
If so I hope they retcon the PHB sorcs to give them a bonus list as well.
Hmm... I'm not feeling it in light of the whole Domain thing being the Favored Soul trick. Plus, Dragon Sorcerer is defined pretty much by their elemental affinity - we'd want spells that reflect that. Maybe we can get Summon spells that reflect that, or Chromatic, etc. I personally have run it where dragon mages have access to any spells of the appropriate element. So, white dragon sorcerers get all cold spells in the game, etc. Maybe something along those lines?Agreed. Until then, maybe let the PHB sorcs use Cleric Domain spells. Maybe the Dragon sorcerer can pick the spells from either the War or Trickery domains, and the Wild Magic sorcerer can pick from either the Knowledge or Light domains?

Wild Magic needs... I'm not sure. Its hard to really grasp a wild mage's stile for me. Light domain is basically just fire, and knowing stuff doesn't feel very wild magicky. Doesn't feel like a fit to me.
Since the spell domains are one of two key 1st level abilities for these new subclasses, you'd need to give Favoured Soul and Stormborn another level 1 power. How would that sit with those who already think FS is overpowered?
