Favorite Critter Or Two

Ogres and goblins.

Kobolds, kinda, except they show up more often as a PC and NPC race than an actual monster combatent.

anything dire or giant whos normal cousin is not a threat. I love to say things like

"You see a wasp (pause) with a head larger then yours"

"You see a rat (pause) that 6' tail looks menicing"

You can compound this. The PCs going into an abandoned building run into a kid who says "watch out for the wasps" the whole party is polite but thinks okay whatever then they find out they are giant wasps. muhahahahahaha

That's evil!

I like Shadows, Imps, and ogres.

I gave an ogre one level of fighter then gave him combat reflexes and Dual Stirke (+4 to hit when flanking with another flanker with dual strike]

Then I replicated him. Several times. 4, CR3 ogre's is ~ an EL 6-7 encounter, and imagine the party's suprise when these guys moved into flanking position, and hit every time.

Humans - such a strange species, so capable of the greatest goodness and the depths of depravity.

Dragons - I don't think I've ever had a group kill a dragon of the same EL as the party.

Animated Objects - My players still talk about the time the fighter got criticalled by a table.

Kobolds - My players hate it when they have their butts handed to them by a bunch of these guys (esp. when they're the MM garden variety, with no class levels :D).
