favorite type of book

*I believe there is a difference, sci-fi is fantasy with tech like star wars, science fiction is more like the stuff greg bear and larry niven write.

Historical mystery. At least that's what I seem to read most these days. Science Fiction has gotten too weird for me, Fantasy has gotten too Jordan-esque. All my favorite authors started writing that stuff because it sells better, instead of the quirky offbeat stuff. (Except Glen Cook, thank goodness).

I voted for Fantasy and Nonfiction, and although I do enjoy Horror and occasionally suspense, they aren't my favorite genres.

Once you have "Fiction" and "Non-Fiction" on a poll it seems you've covered all the bases.

I mostly read fantasy & sci-fi, but I love horror and a good classic mystery novel.
