A Short History of Nearly Everything by Bill Bryson
- it really is, not quite, but close, what the title claims

The Legend of the Jade Phoenix trilogy by Robert Thurston
- finding the books was hell, on ice, without any skates

Time Travel in Einsteins Universe by J.Richard Gott
- he wrote this in the future and then sent it back to himself

The Lake of Death by Jean Rabe
- hush now or the dragon wakes

Pompeii by Richard Harris, I think? Forget the author's name off the top of my head. I only just started it today.

Next up is most likely either Shadows Linger, the second Black Company book, or Stonehenge by Bernard Cornwell if my dad's done with it.

I am just finishing up The Last Templar by Michael Jecks. It was slow going but I enjoyed the detail of the setting. The mystery was very easy to solve.

I am on a mystery kick right now so next up I am going to read Anne Perry new series set in WW1 called No Graves as Yet.

For non fiction I am reading a book called Nickel and Dimed on not getting by in America by Barbara Ehrenreich. It is an eye opener. This journalist lived in four different states working minium wages jobs and writes about her experiences.

As for comics I read every month the lastest Star Wars, Witchblade, Darkness and of course Knights of the Dinner Table.

Well, I am currently ensconced (actually, nearly completed) in The Fortune of War, Vol. 6 in the Aubrey/Mataurin series by Patrick O'Brian. As I said before, these things are like salted nuts to me! The Surgeon's Mate will undoubtably be started at some point this evening... I stared re-reading the series (this will be third time through for me) around the middle of January and it has just kept going.

Yeah that happened to me too when I last reread them - I started with Master and Commander and just kept going.

Currently:
Gaming - Frost and Fur
Leisure - Quicksilver by Neal Stephenson

Finishing Lamb: The story of Biff Christ's childhood friend

If you liked dogma the movie you will like this one :):) It is a good book full of great one liners and transitions to present day. I have been caught riding the metro to or from work and can't contain my laughter; thus incurring the cold stares from other metro riders :)

Next up is Path of Honor by Diana Pharoah Francis read the first book a long time ago, and borders was having a deal on it. So I went ahead and picked it up. If it is like the last one, I figure it will be a fun easy read, but nothing great.

Finishing Lamb: The story of Biff Christ's childhood friend

I loved that book, I've read everything by Christopher Moore and liked it all except for Fluke, which just seemed like he mailed that one in.

Just finished reading Dune. Can't believe I've waited so long to read it. Just started Saucer Wisdom by Rudy Rucker.

Blood Rites, of the Dresden Files series. Having being burnt by the Anita Blake books, which tread similar ground, I wasn't too keen on looking at this series, but I'm very glad I did, even if I did unintentionally jump in at book 6. The world and characters are well-developed and sometimes laugh-out-loud funny, the mystery is intriguing without being too obtuse, and the action scenes are excellent

Now we just gotta see if Sci Fi channel pulls it together and gets the series going on tv; I'm pulling for James Marsters to play Harry (or Erik, as the case may be...)
