February - What are you playing?

Arnwyn

First Post
Yes, I know it's the middle of the month - but I haven't seen one of these in a bit, and I kind of miss them.

For me, my old school quest continues, and I'm nearly finished Breath of Fire II (SNES). It turned out to be a really great game. (The fishing, though, sucked compared to the first BoF).

Co-op #1: For my wife and I - we unceremoniously dumped Guitar Hero for the far superior Rock Band (PS3).

Co-op #2: One of my buddies and I are going through Halo 3 (360), but it's been sporadic due to scheduling difficulties. I don't care all that much, though, since Halo 3 is a disappointment and not that great. We're laughing and calling it "Halo 2.5".

Sword of the New World on the PC

And a couple of older games I got cheap for the 360 - Test Drive Unlimited and DOA:Xtreme 2. Sadly, I'm starting to wonder if my December bought 360 is dying already - I'm starting to get lockups. Not real frequent, but often enough to be annoying.

Too much.

For the 360, finally got Bioshock and beat that. Also Burnout Paradise, Mass Effect(still), Assassin's Creed, Lego Star Wars: Complete Saga, and my Mass Effect love has me going through Knights of the Old Republic again(soon to be followed by KotOR 2).

On the Wii, Sports at least once a day, some Mario Galaxy when the mood strikes, and Fire Emblem.

And on the DS, Ultimate Mortal Kombat has taken control.

...that, and Civ IV and sometimes City of Heroes.

The irony is I actually don't have a huge amount of free time. :p

Rock Band (PS3) - Last weekend I actually had two members of our old band over and we all rocked out. The girlfriends even got in on the action. :D

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (PS3) - Fun stuff for the first 90 minutes. Graphics, especially the facial expressions are really amazing as are the environments.

Mass Effect (360) - Still on my second time through.

Wii Sports (Wii) - The only other game not named Rock Band that gets played with more than one person visiting.

Is it in a well ventilated area?

Eve-Online has been moved to the back burner for a while. Too many plans crashed and burned in a short time span, so motivation went way down. I'm currently stuck in low-sec that is pirate invested (80% of the folks in sytem are pirates), I need to move 20-30 jumps to get back to my old low-sec haunt (hoping that it isn't pirate invested as well).

Lord of the Rings Online, started a new Lvl1 character (Human Captain), needed some fantasy hack 'n slash, and this was was handy ;-)

WarCraft III had a new patch that didn't require my CD/DVD in the drive anymore, that made me install it right away and a session of WC3 was initiated.

Supreme Commander, I needed a stress test for my computer so I could see how much power it was drawing, i ended up playing a bit longer than planned ;-) (btw. It was drawing 400W max.).

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, I'm still not very good at it, but it's still soooo adictive (to play a sniper).

As always, WoW. Levelling a priest, as is apparently everyone else in my guild, and excited about the possibility of badge-purchaseable nether vortices in 2.4 (this means I get to possibly make a Stormherald for my paladin). This also means I'm quailing at the number of badges I'll need.

Tried out LotRO, and it was okay, but not anything special enough to make me want to continue it after the two afternoons I played.

Tried out Tabula Rasa, and it's...possibly okay. It's different, and I'm not sure I like it. I'll give it a bit more of a chance, and maybe adjust controls.

Pending Jade Empire and Sam & Max, for whenever I have time for those.

Brad

Same as I've been playing. Either WoW or Halo3.

I got all these cool games for 360 for X-mas:
Mass Effect (which I haven't even opened yet!!!)
CoD4
Assissin's Creen
Bioshock
The Orange Box (haven't opened)
Guitar Hero 3

And I still prefer to play WoW or Halo3 over any of them. Somehow I feel like I am wasting my time if I pop in a different game. I think of how much I could have achieved in WoW from the time I spent playing CoD4 for example...

Wha wha what??? Halo3 is awesome. So is Halo 2 mind you, but I haven't really found any faults w/ Halo3. I like what they did with the new equipment (Power Drain, Land Mines, Personal Air Lift, etc.). And the Map Forge where you can design your own maps is awesome too. Oh, and how you can save your games and rewatch them. When I get owned by another team, I save it, watch their strategy, and get better. I take it back, Halo 3 has much more to offer than Halo 2 (which I still think is a great game). The feel for the game translates as well. There is not much of a relearning curve between Halo 2 to 3.

Do you play custom maps w/ friends, or just random online player vs player? Or have you only done campaign mode? Because if you are only doing co-op campaign mode, you are missing a majority of the experience.
