Festival of Halina (Orsal Judging)

Elise gives an excited grin, mind traveling back to the combat simulations This is what I've been waiting for Reacting quickly she will rush to the front, jutting into an ideal position, reaching into her pouch, uttering a quick word, tracing a symbol in the air, and scattering the sand, thusly spreading her first spell in combat. What if this fails?

OOC [sblock]Moving to the front, double moving if needed, Cast color spray DC 14 15 foot cone trying to hit at least two enemies with Phineus having priority

Also two days of two jobs dictate erratic posting so During to second round assume she is still consious Elise withdraws to a safer location unless she can hit at least two more with a color spray without hitting the party, if she has to withdraw and she feels safe(noone threating her she will draw her crossbow, if an attack looks like it might be coming she casts mage armor on herself[/sblock]

Pure anger boils in Fang when the bandits move to draw their weapons. Suddenly his eyes turn a filmy green, spittle begins to form in the corners of his mouth, every muscle on his body seems to flex, and a barbaric yell explodes from his lips.

"GRAAAAAAAAAA", he screams as he drops his javelin, draws his sword and runs at the nearest bandit.

OOC- Rage (free), drop javelin (free), draws sword and move up to 40 feet (move action), and attack.

ATTACK (with rage) - +9 att, 2d6+9 damage
AC (with rage)- 14 (T10, FF12)

Revised history. Apparently this spot has been used before, and I was unaware, so for continuity...

The bridge is an ancient stone bridge spanning the Roars. The river is narrower here, only about twenty yards across, but it runs swift and deep beneath the bridge.

Troi - Init 10, AC 18, HP 26/26, Wpn: Whip +6 (1d4+2) and Shortsword +6 (1d6+1)

Phineus
"Can't do that mate."

Troi smiles. "Then I guess we'll hafta do this th' hard way, y'know?"

With that, he dashes at Phineus (Move: 10 feet down [or however far it is to engage him in melee, if he moved before Troi]), drawing his whip and shortsword as he goes (Free with move action), and takes a stab at Phineus with his sword (Attack: 18 + 8 = 26, Damage: 6 + 1 = 7).

Troi also tries to note Phineus' armor as he attacks him, trying to determine if it would be feasible to attack him with his whip.

Sunny, low man on the initiative totem pole, casts True Strike (no spell failure, verbal only) and follows Troi (he doesn't want to let Troi get attacked by two enemies).

Sunny attempts to keep 15' between him and an enemy after moving; thus the enemy must create an AOO when closing. (depends on if this is possible, still wants to cover Troi).

Sunny is smart and a good tactician; he also takes Elise into consideration - if she needs somebody next to her with a reach weapon, he'll try to cover her somewhat as well.

It's likely that Sunny will be able to take an AOO at some point with his Glaive, hopefully before casting True Strike. If so, he will attempt to disarm (+1 total bonus to the disarm role) his foe.

If an enemy moves up into Sunny's face before Sunny's init, he will disarm with the AOO, take a 5' step back, and cast True Strike.

If Sunny gets an AOO after casting True Strike (unlikely given his initiative), he will use it for damage, i.e. a normal old hit, which at +18 to hit and 1d10+4 damage (after bard bonus) is likely to be noticed.

[Sorry for the complicated tactics. Using a reach weapon with True Strike, when playing an intelligent PC who knows all the advantages, takes some doing!]

OOC:[sblock]Math/Die Rolls are in spoiler tags after each event. I rolled all dice for simplicity's sake (Including you're attaks GW, sorry for not specifying).[/sblock]
Fang screams and charges in a blood rage, striking the man (1) in a strike of pure and utter carnage that leaves little left to be identified as being once a man.
To Hit 19+11=30, confirm 20+11=31, Damage 6+6+5+6+18=41

Phineus draws his longsword and looks at the two men in front of him.

Elise quickly runs up behind Sunny, looking to make the most of an opening.

Out from the bushes (???) runs a small wolf chasing a rabit. They bound in and out of the brush heading north.

Oirhandir rides up towards the first wagon, and plays an inspiring song that his allies begin to draw strength and courage from.

Troi draws his weapons as he moves towards Phineus. Phineus, prepaired for his advance, takes a swing at Troi but misses. Troi strikes at him in return and hits with a solid blow. Troi is fairly convinced that Phineus is wearing a normal chain shirt.
To Hit 12+9=21, DMG 4+2=6, spot 3+7=10

One of the men (2) charges Sunny while drawing his longsword. Sunny, with Elise right behind him, decides to try to strike the man down, and the man right into the glave strike that fells him.
To hit 19-2=16, DMG 8+4=11

One of the men (3) charges Troi while drawing his longsword and swings at him, missing badly.

One of the men (4) draws his longsword and moves to try to flank Troi, striking at him and missing.

Sunny casts True Strike, choosing to stay put to cover Elise and Troi

Lasair, feeling strangely couragous, steps forward as she invokes vigor, suddently feeling much healthier. She readies her crossbow, just in case.

OOC:[sblock]New Initiative order:
Fang
Elise
Oirhandir
Phineus
Troi
Men
Sunny
Lasair

Updated map posted.
Actions please.

If I get enough actions before 1pm central, I will continue combat then. Otherwise I will wait till tonight/everyone is posted.

Fang, if I don't hear from you, I will assume you charge Phineus, as that's what I'd expect a raged Barb to do.[/sblock]

Ah, this one is pretty easy (deciding my next action).

With True Strike running, as soon as he gets to do something, Sunny will move over somewhat and whack the heck out of whatever it is that's bothering Troi the most.

Blow is at: +18 to hit and 1d10+4 damage.

If there is something injured and Sunny can take him down with his Glaive, that's his first priority.

Otherwise, Sunny will whack bad guy #4 or #3. Troi is busy with Phinneous.

Obviously, Sunny will take AOO's where applicable. Looks like Elise isn't going to be attacked, so he feels OK in leaving her alone.
