I like your introductory flaxor text.
Before making up new content, you might want to check out Shadowfoot's Shaman class on the Wizards of the Coast forums. It has good ideas about various dances of power here:

One power that i just made up is dependent on the character having levels in the bard class or the ability to fascinate as a bard. Instead of affecting a number of creatures equal to half their level, when the fey dancer uses Perform (Dance) to fascinate, he can affect a number of creatures equal to his bard level + fey dancer level + CHA modifier. Another ability I thought of is being able to replace Tumble checks with the Perform (Dance) skill instead for the same effect. Balance and Jump could eventually receive the same treatment, and maybe even Disguise! Ooo!
What if the fey dancer can, by performing a Dance check opposed by opponent's Sense Motive effectively disguise a person they dance around, using long ribbons and distracting flowery moves. Imagine a princess seeking revenge upon a lord - she has the needed weapon but just can't get close enough. Enter the fey dancer! He dances around her, thus masking her entrance and winning the love of the court until the fey dancer stops dancing and the ribbons fall to the ground, revealing the truth!
P.S. Thanks for looking at the race I posted!
