Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

I was organizing my miniatures and took a photo of the D&L giant we were discussing a few pages back:

Working on a dragon from Archon Studios and this is the base. I’m trying to improve the quality of my miniatures bases. I started with a dark grey and applied a few washes of brown and some green. Once dry, I used a sponge to apply a light grey over everything.

I used Dirty Down Moss effect and it’s the first time it turned out well for me. I heated the bottle of moss up in water, used a hair drier on the mini, and then applied the moss. I then put some brown Speed Paint through my airbrush on the lower half of the rock.

My made up ringer merc lance for an upcoming tournament. Im calling them The Blue Suns.
Spider, Clint, Quickdraw and Ostsol mechs. The Ostsol had a funny pose with only one point of base cotnact. So, I made a mini hex to make it look like its walking down an incline.

Edit: ill get better pics

The neat thing about those BTech minis is you're painting in a different scale. Was works for 28-32mm just doesn't work exactly the same for 10-12mm (or whatever scale BT is supposed to be). It's hard to be both subtle and visible with effects at that scale.
